I saw a bit of it - Craig McAllister leaving an opposition defender for dead stunned the watching audience in Woking - he had the turn of pace of a HGV whilst at Woking.

However, Oxford do comfortably have the slowest defence in the league, yet choose to play a back three with a high line. Bloody idiots.

He took his goal well, thought he'd lost it to the defender but managed to turn it over Turley(who was subject to so much abuse in the second half). Oxford really were dire, I thought we would beat them but not 5-0 even if they had 7 players out injured.

Ok, my five:

Stuart Fleetwood (FGR)
Adam Miller (Stevenage)
Nikki Bull (Aldershot)
Mitchell Cole (Stevenage)
Mark Albrighton (Cambridge - obligatory own team player )

We beat Torquay at the weekend, promotion push is back on track

Nikki Bull is gash. Dodgy on crosses, doesn't command his area, and has a girls name

Haha, indeed, he does have a girls name, but are you sure you're not letting the fact that he plays for your rivals cloud your judgement?

Alternatively he could just be one of those players who always plays a blinder against us. The bastárd.

The club is saddled with debt from past regimes, where we've thrown money at chasing the dream (including in both Chapple eras). The club loses in excess of £500k a year which is simply unsustainable. Years of failure on the pitch, coupled with poor financial management is coming to a head and something has to give. Frank is working on a much reduced budget (some £3k a week), with the brief to keep the club in the Blue Square Premier until this development goes ahead.

The development as you say will incorporate a new stand and 400 homes. Within this stand there will be coporate facilities, a banqueting suite, catering facilities and executive boxes on match day (if Burton and FGR can sell them, why can't we ). This will allow the club a steady flow of income seven days a week, rather than just on matchday.

Some homes will be sold on the spot to cover the costs, the rest will be rented out. It has been estimated, not just by the board but by some high profile members of the support who work in such industries, that the rent should generate some £600k per year - instantly dwarfing the annual loss and shooting us into profit. This, coupled with the coporate and banqueting facilities should give us a tidy annual profit, which will see increased playing budgets. This in turn should see increased performance on the pitch, and help the club be in a position to really kick on and challenge sustainably for promotion to the Football League.

I love that you use the homes as a basis of stability when quite clearly it isnt. Oh yes £600k a year sounds great, i doubt the majority is going to the club and even if it is it doesnt mean stability. The council deal would have given money direct to the club but instead we're saddled with Ingrams deal now. All that potential equity in the houses doesnt lie in the clubs hands, instead it is in the control of Ingram. So if we dont get into the league, if times get hard again. All he has to do is walk out and take his £600k a year with him, then gone are the chances of any further expansion and any chances of remaining profitable.

I can't believe you're insulting Ingram!! If it weren't for him we'd have gone bankrupt 2 years ago & at best would be playing at a much lower level than we're at atm. So if nothing else he's give us 2/3/4 extra years of football to enjoy (I use that term loosely at times!!).

Fact is he deserves to recoup some of the millions he's put into the club. He's gone far beyond the call of duty at times, including lending huge amounts of his personal art collection to Woking council for the new lightbox in an attempt to 'get them onside'.

Then Ingram should have let us go under, at least then we wouldnt be operating beyond our means to the tune of £500k a year. We might also have been playing some exciting football for a change!!! Yes he deserves to recoup his money but the way in which he's doing it is not in the best interests of the football club.

As for the council, Ingram is simply trying to manipulate them for his own personal gain. Since the early 90's they have constantly backed the football club, They bought a £1.7 million stand. In the mid 90s when we were trying to sign steve foster, Phil Ledger refused to release the funds for him initially. So Geoff went to the council (who were sponsering us at the time) to get the money (~£28,000 iirc) as an extension of the sponsorship. Council agreed but it was only through sheer embarassment that the football club paid for him. More recently an agreement always was in place to lend the club £1,000,000 and develop Kingfield should we get into the league. Obviously now this agreement is void due to ingrams plans
