Dunston Fed 1-1 Bishop Auckland

A very good draw considering our recent form, also Dunston being one of the better teams in the league. We scored directly from a corner a minute after they missed a pen - about half an hour in.
They equalised with about half an hour remaining. We were hanging on a bit and missed a glorious chance to take all 3 points in injury time. Still, not complaining. :thup:

Big game on Wednesday when we play our landlords Shildon. Made some canny recent signings so I guess another draw will be a good result.

For goalscorers you don't really need to look further than the top 5 or so atm, Fleetwood looks an excellent player and I've always thought Boylan to be good too. From a Rushden view I'd say Jackson would be up there as well and he's attracted interest from Posh. I'd have Burgess up there too, he's always looked a class above in this league(apart from when he was almost ruined by Oxford) and can put in a class cross whenever he likes, once again he's a player who has attracted interest from league sides(Leeds apparently) and a player who I've always thought could play League 1 football consistently. I'll say Marcus Kelly too, but that's based on form atm.

Obviously I'm being a bit biased towards a couple of Rushden players as I support them so a few of the others in here will give you a better idea.

Perhaps we should come up with a best XI?

I'd put forward Mitchell Cole and Adam Miller of Stevenage - both definitely too good for the league imo

I'd go with Stuart Fleetwood, Mitchell Cole, Tom Hutchinson, Onome Sodje and Scott Davies (on loan at Aldershot from Reading) from what I've seen.

Probably biased with Hutch, but he's a stonking defender in a poor team.
