Hell of a result for Chelmsford City last night as they slaughtered Hendon, who were top of the league, 5-1 at Melbourne Park.
Goals by Bertie Brayley who bagged a brace, Aiden Collins, Lee Protheroe and an own goal from Hendon defender Sam Page sent The Clarets top of the Ryman League with only Staines Town having any games in hand on them (two) and also being five points behind.
This victory certainly makes up for their defeat on Saturday against Hayes & Yeading United in the FA Cup which City lost 1-0.
City next face Boreham Wood in the FA Trophy 1st Qualifying round and then follow that up with an away fixture at Ramsgate on the 27th.

Despite your good play, I can see why you aren't doing better than you are. After a very good start and a goal, I expected York to go on and get a second. However, Woking finally bucked their ideas up and started putting pressure on in an attacking sense, and York looked very shaky at the back from then on and into the start of the second half. It was only after Gindre's horrendous error which led to your second that York settled down and looked the good side that they had shown in the opening passages of play.
Sodje looks a very good player. Looks like he can finish, has pace and generally looks classy. Panther dominated the midfield and I think it was Woolford who was generally lively on the wing.

Aye, that pretty much sums us up.
Can't kill matches off, and have frequently been punsihed for it.

According to this George Borg has left Braintree Town. Seeing as they were one of the favorites for promotion they are currently sitting 5th bottom in the Blue Square South.
Wonder where Borg will turn up next?

Borg - never to be seen or heard from again.
I'm also hearing rumours that Mark Stimson has resigned as Stevenage manager

| It's true
From the offical site: Quote:
Manager Mark Stimson presented his written resignation to the Club this morning, opening the door to a number of applications for the vacant position.
Chairman Phil Wallace said "Mark has resigned today and he's told us that he took legal advise before he made that decision. We don't know where he's going but he obviously feels that this action is in the best interests of his future career and only history will show whether he was right or wrong"
"I think it's been clear to everyone over the past few weeks that events outside the Club have been the major contributor in his decision to resign, but we will have to wait and see what happens now. Scott hasn't resigned and will therefore take the game tomorrow night in the normal way"
He continued "At this moment I don't have any further details but as soon as I have any more information I will let the fans know. We are already receiving applications for the position, as it's obviously a fantastic opportunity for the right person"
"The message to our fans at this moment is that the Board are just as determined to bring Football League status to the town as the day we hired Mark and, just as importantly, to continue with the style of play that we've shown this year. This squad of players have been signed because they can play in a certain way and that will be the single most important factor when we're looking at applications for the Managers position"
| Season over IMO, just hope he doesn't take too many players with him

Stimson to return in January and take Cole, Morison and Julian off your hands
Would give me pleasure to see Stevenage nosedive down the league table |
