First season back in the Unibond Premier after successive promotions, and a new gaffer in John Reed (ex-Stalybridge) after Nicky Law jumped to Alfreton. High hopes for a decent finish again, and with Telford going up, and FCUM a league below, we'll have the biggest gates in the league.
Pre-season:
Sat 7th July Hatfield Main (A) 3-00
Sat 14th Brodsworth MW (A) 3-00
Sat 21st July Northwich Vics (H) 3-00
Tue 24th July Burton Albion (H) 7-45
Fri 27th July Barnsley (H) 7-45
Thur 2nd August Macclesfield T (H) 7-45
Mon 6th August Tadcaster (A) 7-45
Sat 11th August Kidsgrove (A) 3-00
The FA draws have thrown up some huge interest, with us visiting Leek in the Cup, and hosting them in the trophy. The towns hate each other, and the football teams haven't played in an age. I'll be leaving town for that weekend I think...

Bring back the ninties
Our ticket prices have gone up to £10 standing and £12 seated. Cost me £240 for a seated season ticket. Last year it was £180.

What really puts this in perspective is just twenty years ago you could get into Old Trafford and get change from three quid. Even when the ground became all seater in 1994 you could still get in for a tenner. It is an absolute joke that non-league prices are even reaching that level just over a decade later, let alone surpassing it.

Horrible ground, horrible fans, horrible club.
Apparently they're doing up the ground though so maybe it'll improve this year.

Not really a great deal going down at Bishops. We've contracted our first player in 6 years, winger Bryan Stewart. A few new signings that I haven't heard of either.
Seems to be a number of fans from other clubs in the league tipping us for relegation, but I always think there's a few teams that manage to put in a disasterous campaign. Hopefully we're not one of them and will be ok.
We've also got a new sponsor this season in SG Petch (local car dealers - canny deal as well apparently) which will be strange as the previous sponsors have been on the front of our shirts for well over a decade!
No 'big-name' friendlies this year, probably because we have no ground and negotiations with the council and a third party have drawn out over another summer.
We're away to Chester-le-Street Town in the FA Cup EP Round (could've been easier) and at home to Esh Winning in the FA Vase 1Q Round (canny draw imo).

Also I fancy Hendon to be a surprise this year, they finished well and who knows they may spring a surprise and do well.
Be a massive surprise if so. I'd be more than happy with avoiding the bottom four again.

It will soon be £20 to get into some non-league places. I paid £18 to get in at Oxford last year :thdn: I could watch Fulham a lot of the time for £15.
