They shaded the first half while the second half was very even. Morgan scored a fantastic goal for us but Rushden equalized in a scramble a minute later.
We also drew 1-1, at home to Bath. While the draw was the fair result you can't help feeling a bit robbed given they equalised well against the run of play and in injury time. On the other hand they had bossed the first half and deserved to go in at the break ahead.
We are looking good at this early stage, and Goldberg is still getting better at adapting to match situations. Today he identified the problem and made the right move to change the game. He has come a long way in a year as manager and is now far from the train-wreck many of us were expecting.

Right result really, they are a much better team (being owned by millionaires helps) but we didn't disgrace ourselves.
Only got there at HT as it took ages to get back from the Sunderland match. :o
Durham were already 1-0 by then and went further ahead 15 mins in to the second half after an atrocious penalty was awarded by the ref, and was duly converted by ex-Bishops striker Jaime Clark.
Bish got back onto it with 20 mins remaining when they were then awarded and equally-dodgy penalty - Scott Richards making sure from the spot.
A few minutes later Durham were awarded another penalty after their left winger was taken out at the knees. Stonewall penalty and there were no complaints.
Clarke again stepped up to take the penalty, but this time it was saved, as he always goes the same way. Thanks Jaime.
An opportunity presented itself to Bishop's Bryan Stewart in injury time but he couldn't connect with a lob into the area.

I think I've posted in this thread once, if at all. I know a few people don't take kindly to Rushden's past success in recent years due to the Griggs money, but I believe we are at the level we probably belong right now. Plus I'm a nice chap I mean, why is there an R&D thread ffs. Anyway, I think you probably deserved to shade the game today. According to others on our unofficial forums our defence looked shaky and from seeing your goal I can see why. Looks like we're going to have the problems at the back like we did last season, uncertainty to clear the ball and such. On paper our midfield does look excellent. Woodhouse and Challinor will get 20 goals collectively between them hopefully, but I don't think the side is fully up to pace with the 3-5-2 system we are playing currently. It will probably change to 4-4-2 when Burgess is fit, unless he shows he is competent at playing wing back(I know he played left back as cover for Oxford but he's so much better putting balls into the box).
Our first home game against Farsley on Tuesday. Considering I'm going to it we will probably lose and/or play ****.

He does seem lightweight when he goes into tackles which for a boxer I thought he'd be strong at. He runs around a lot though and has a half decent free kick on him. Just think our defence is the problem, and from the Morgan goal no one made a tackle which annoys me quite a bit.

I remember Sunderland were linked with him when Reidy was in charge, Woodhouse was at Sheff Utd doing well and we were going great guns in the Prem.
How times change.

It is indeed Curtis. He's one of those players who were probably overrated by the media/interest shown in him. On his day he is a great player and definitely too good for the Conference.
