I went to Hitchin v Hendon tonight. finished 3-2 to Hendon, who played really well. Most unusual.

Thought we were terrible for most of the first half tbh. Second was mostly much better tho. </BLOCKQUOTE>
you were there? aww man, here's me thinking I knew what you looked like. Even the first half I thought was OK tbh, very solid defensively. New keeper looked fairly assured - made a change from the usual Route One merchant anyway </BLOCKQUOTE>
Heh, yeah, one of the few to bother
Last Saturday we beat Wembley comfortably, plenty of movement, solid at the back but lacking killer instinct in front of goal (especially in the first half), then lost to Ware on Tuesday 3-2. Hardest run out we've had so far (Ware look a good side for step 4). Both sides trying to play football.
Architects of our own downfall a bit - Luke Blackmore in goal (the aforementioned new keeper) made a couple of big mistakes that led directly to goals two and three. Suspect with him playing we're just doing Wealdstone a favour anyway - he was with them at the end of last season and he's been playing for them in pre-season too. Can't see him replacing Richard Wilmot as first choice for us tbh.
Pretty positive stuff from all three games though aside from one or two muck ups. Already got a pretty good idea who the first eleven'll be, look to he a little stronger in a few places - Ben Huddell returning'll be handy for midfield and Casey Maclaren looks decent in the right back slot. Hopefully carry on from where we left off last season and get a solid mid-table slot (although I'll still be happy with fifth bottom!)
