I didn't rate Marum much when I saw him on trial at Brighton last year - not sure if he's got the physical presence to cope really, especially playing 'in the hole'.
He was anonymous in that role. Far more effective as a proper frontman, as we saw at the end of last season and from some of his finishes in the warm up!

Last season's Sussex County League top scorer, Liam Baitup (who works with my dad), has been offered over a hundred quid a week to play for Whitehawk next season - madness. I hope he stays at Eastbourne Town, would be good to see him progress in the Ryman.
How can they afford that on an average attendance of 73?

Strong enough to play upfront in the Conference, and has a lot of pace. Decent finisher too.
He's definitely an out and out front man, and hopefully we've seen the last of him in the hole.

Pass. I'm told he's staying with Eastbourne Town, in any case.
Whitehawk have always paid silly money. They've had several ex-Brighton players over the years.

Chelmsford City host another Championship side tonight when Ipswich Town make the short journey down the A12 for tonight's encounter at Melbourne Park. It is fully expected that Ipswich will field a full strength side.
Many City fans are expecting a reasonably big gate and are being urged to turn up early.
Also early Ryman odds have City at 3-1 to win the Ryman League. Don't know what the other odds are, but you can guarantee that AFC Wimbledon will be among the favourites as well.
Also Chelmsford are being linked to a move for ex-West Ham and Tottenham midfielder John Moncur. Moncur, who is now 41 , was last season playing for AFC Hornchurch in the Ryman League Division One North, which Hornchurch won with relative ease. It remains to be seen in what capacity he will join City, whether it is in a coaching role, a playing role or indeed both. Although this could be yet another rumour, as I remember last season City were linked to a move for Paul Merson that never came to fruition.
So lets wait and see.
