I'm sure 90% of his bad tackles were bore out of nothing else than his aggressive nature as a player. That ad his enormous limitations as a player that he cleverly hides by being a c**t so often that no-one ever talks about him in terms of being a footballer.

his version is that he was having an argument with the kid's dad, then the kid kicked him in the knee. so he slapped him. also assuming somebody in a bar late at night to be over the age of 15. not entirely unreasonable tbh (again assuming it to be true).
think he had quite a good excuse for that eye stubbing as well, if it's true. he said that that player he did it to was running up behind people and setting fire to their shirts with his lighter, and he did it to barton, and barton tried to put out a cigar on the guy's shirt and the bloke bent into it. dunno how true that is really. well, it's all probably true apart from the end bit, which is just maybe true
I dunno, I could see how that could happen as a "freak accident" if he intended to stub it on the shirt. sounds like he deserved it a little bit anyway
