Dickson is totally unproven

Marcus is just a twat and ****. Lisbie's off on a free. Iwelumo and Varney will be our only strikers, personally would like to see someone else brought in.

I know what you're saying, but we have 5 strikers, have just signed 2, and some in the reserves. All that gives the impression not another striker will be signed, rarely ever see more than 2 strikers signed in one preseason by a team. Cant even think of the last club that did more than 2

We cant say "player x is crap" so lets buy someone better. They are on our wage bill, which is massive, and we cant do nothing until they are gone, and as they are rubbish and on such high wages its hard to get rid of.

Plus he hasnt signed them 3 strikers for no reason.

Reckon Pards will bring in another striker to replace Darren?

Totally agree mate. I saw him in Waterfront gym last Friday, and my mate asked if he will play next season, and he said he hopes to get some games under his belt before xmas for the first team, at which point his mate butted in, and said "he's gonna bang 20 goals next season"
Er did we not already sign 3 in the past few months? </BLOCKQUOTE>

Don't think Dickson will be anywhere near good enough yet. Hopefully Marcus goes aswell anyway... </BLOCKQUOTE>

It will be dismissed as anecdotal but within English football, and specifically among agents, the following story is circulating and generating huge excitement. A player from a third-tier club who moved recently to a Championship club - one not so long ago in the Premiership - has seen his basic £1,500-a-week salary increase not five times, nor 10, but 15 times. The player's agent did not demand this sum; it was the club's opening gambit.
Varney?

The Crewe researcher heard it was around £10k a week, but £20k seems well over the top.

Highly doubt he's on £20k, especially as we were cutting costs up to £17m last week.

We're not fools ffs, he isn't on 20k.

He'll be on half that, at a stretch.

No wonder Varney didn't think twice about joining Charlton over Norwich! Obviously Charlton are a more appealing club overall, but there's no way on earth we could match £20k a week! I doubt even our top earner (Huckerby) is on anything near that either, and he's a God down there these days.

Pure madness.
