Rennes have offered Charlton winger Dennis Rommedahl a new contract after the Denmark international turned down a move to the club. (The Times)

He's going to end up staying, isn't he.

Yeah I came in to say that, although some sites say its 3 months, and Chelsea then choose either to bring him back or extend it to the end of the season.

Its not officially confirmed by Charlton or Chelsea yet remember, and the last time I got excited about young Chelsea striker joining on loan it didn't turn out very well.

Just found out the West Ham researcher gave Carlton Cole 4 for work rate for FM 08...

As for Rommedahl I'm confident someone will sign him.

Got my Braga tickets

Sahar deal not confirmed yet, seems one site reported it, then speculation has gone crazy about it on the net.

I would rather we sign an older more experience player.

Dickins isnt going to play this season, he's not up to much to be honest, and we cant expect much from him, never having played at a good standard. Its like when we have had any young player and people have expected so much and its not been delivered - Konch, Sankofa, McCafferty, Lisbie, MacDonald etc

I want us to sign a striker who will bag us at least 15 goals this season, and have none of the risk factor, thats what you need in the championship.

And our midfield is looking weak. Something needs done. Holland cant compete with the players anymore, to slow, and had no attacking mind. For a centre midfielder, who is supposed to be defensive, he never gets booked, which some people will say is because he is AMAZING at timing his tackles, but if you look at the stats, he was in the lowest 10% or something of tackles won in the Prem last season

Im not impressed with our signings so far, though hopefully they will turn out to be excellent, as a couple of them I havent seen before, so fingers crossed.

Cant see us winning the league at the moment, Championship is better than it was when we last won it.

Oh and we still havent signed a keeper either......

I should be going to the Braga match, going to sort tickets out nearer the time.

Agree about Dickson, looked on a few sites and some fans really seem to believe he'll do really well next season. He could really struggle and probably still needs more time getting fitter and improving.

I'd like a good striker who will guarantee goals, but with Iwelumo and Varney coming in and probably Sahar I can't see there being a 4th. Hopefully they'll all get the goals.

Don't think anyone will disagree our midfield is weak, as it was last season and its even worse now as we've lost several midfielders.

We were never going to get impressive signings or big names, but then again most of the time those have turned out to be worse signings than the cheaper bargins in the past.

Gripper isn't too happy with Bruce and the Birmingham team but they managed promotion, although he thinks they'll go straight back down.

Obviously we need another keeper as Elliot and Randolph have 1 Charlton appearance between them. Should really get a keeper with quite a bit of experience I think.

We might see Youga make a few appearances next season, the Bradford researcher has improved him quite a bit, could be a backup player if its accurate compared to our main defenders.

Has anyone seen anything about Jani Tanska? Using the search on the official site, he's not been mentioned since his injury at the start of the year, and as far as I know his contract has expired.
