He's entitled to his opinon. And don't bother spouting any crap about real fans and all the rest, it's dull and you do it every time.

And just to make it clear, I disagree with whats he's saying also. I don't actually think Walton will be at Charlton for very long.

Walton needs to stop getting so many cards, look here to see just how many he got last season.

I'd like to see what Walton can do, but we definitely need to sign at least one good central midfielder.

In the end £3m isn't that much to Villa, Newcastle etc with all the Sky money, takeovers etc. If he is at his best they'll have a solid Premiership right back. Didn't always seem to be playing like he can do last season, but then he didn't have the best managers or players around him.

Yeah, the influx of money means 3m is a very achievable price. Will be a good signing for whoever gets him, and is another player who will leave with teh fans best wishes.

Rommedahl, Hasselbaink, and M Bent on the other hand....

Well we know Rommedahl and JFH will go, I've not heard anything about Marcus Bent though

Problem with him is he only seems to be happy and playing well enough (for his standards that is) when he's a regular. He's not done enough to be a regular in the team though, and he's not really much good in and out of the team, or on as a sub every week.

Perhaps i was being a bit over the top on Walton, but he seems like the tough-tackling no **** midfielder which we haven't had for ages.

Young is worth £2/£2.5m at most, he is just an average player like Konchesky was. He would do a job for us in the Championship but wouldn't be overly worried if he left. I really want to see Yassin get given a go in the Pre-season as he certainly seems like a player with a decent future ahead of him.

Henry to Barca also really shows what a shrewd business man Varney is being about Bent...

Young's a better player than Konchesky, definitely a better defender at least.

oh yeah, but thats not hard tbf, just seemed like the easiest comparison.

Young will only be solid for a team like Everton, Bolton etc.
