I agree but he is 33 and it'll give new players a chance. We know what he can and can't do, think Pardew probably didn't like how he'd win the ball then give it away. Amdy Faye is no better but I can see us keeping him, he was good for Portsmouth when he was there, maybe he'll look better in the Championship.

"We think that Rommedahl would fit very well into our team - we need a player in his position and he has all the characteristics of a Galatasaray player."
They only want pace then?

Spurs have edged closer to signing striker Darren Bent from Charlton for a fee between £12-14m. (Various)
At the same time we've been saying we won't let him go cheaply/below our valuation, surely if this happens we'll be getting a player or two in exchange?

Yassin says yes!

The France U21 captain has become the latest recruit of Charlton manager Alan
Pardew as the Addicks boss aims to thrust the club back to the top flight at the
first attempt.
The Valley club snapped up right-back Yassin Moutaouakil for 600,000 Euros on
Wednesday afternoon, when the highly-rated youngster signed a four-year
contract.
"I'm delighted to sign Yassin and we have very high hopes for him," manager
Pardew said of the player reportedly tracked by the likes of Aston Villa,
Celtic, Everton and Lazio among others.
"He's a player that a number of clubs were very interested in and we're
naturally very pleased he has chosen Charlton.
"He brings exactly the qualities we are going to need in the Championship next
season. He's a very honest player who wants to succeed and he has plenty of
hunger."

Captain of the french under 21's - can't be too bad then. Lets hope its a shrewd Pardew buy.
