Harty's also phased Westcarr out because he's shagging his daughter.

No I didn't try again, I said it was a rumour check the thread itself:

Rumour

Hart did go for an interview (and in principle) was offered and did accept the job

This happened when Peter Reid was about to go but fan pressure kept him in the job, since then 3 things changed:

1) The compensation (about £300k) put them off

2) They cooled on Hart and identified other targets

3) Hart has hardly won a game at Forest since the interview

However they can have him for free in a few weeks (although I doubt they want the muppet anymore )

Sebs at 17 I doubt you could buy a decent pair of underpants let alone a house

OK bright spark why do you think Glenn Hoddle a Londoner wants a house in Nottingham?

DAWS BLOW HITS REDS

IAN WILKERSON

12:00 - 01 January 2004

Michael Dawson has suffered another injury setback in his stop-start season.

The highly-rated Forest defender has torn his hamstring for the third time this campaign and manager Paul Hart believes it is a direct consequence of the glandular fever the teenager suffered in the summer.

Hart said: "He has torn his hamstring in a different place to the original injury and he needs to be properly rested.

"It all goes back to the glandular fever he had in the summer."

Dawson picked up the original injury in the last game Forest won, the 2-1 success at Bradford on October 25.

He missed three games and returned for the 1-1 draw against Watford but was taken off again when Forest drew 2-2 at Wigan on November 22.

His latest return was in Sunday's 2-0 defeat against West Ham and Hart has got to the stage where he needs to give the player a chance to make a full recovery.

"The illness he suffered in pre-season has definitely caused problems and, for Michael's sake, we have to make sure he is absolutely right, no matter how long it takes," added Hart.

Dawson burst onto the scene last season and immediately became one of the hottest prospects in the Nationwide League.

Dawson's injury means there will be competition to partner John Thompson at the heart of the Forest defence for the FA Cup third round clash with West Brom on Saturday.

Des Walker, who stepped aside for the West Ham game, could return or there may be a chance for Wes Morgan to play in his preferred position after he missed the Hammers clash through suspension.

Meanwhile, Hart has dismissed a £2.5million bid from Tottenham for midfielder Andy Reid.

Spurs were the first club to make an enquiry about the 21-year-old Irishman as the Premiership transfer window opened today.

David Pleat's side are in the bottom three after their defeat against Charlton Athletic on Sunday and have already agreed terms with Sheffield United midfielder Michael Brown.

But Hart said Reid would not be going to White Hart Lane for the offer currently on the table.

He said: "It's a derisory figure and nowhere near our valuation of the player, even if we did decide to sell him."

The rejection of the bid could trigger off more interest from the likes of Birmingham Charlton, Portsmouth and Blackburn.

Toon to pip Spurs for Reid
By MICHAEL MORGAN

BOBBY ROBSON wants to snap up Nottingham Forest’s Andy Reid — and cause Tottenham more misery.

First Division Forest have slapped a £6million price tag on their Republic of Ireland midfielder.

And Newcastle chief Robson is more than willing to meet that valuation as he plots his side’s march towards the fourth Champions League place.

Robson, stung by chairman Freddy Shepherd’s damning criticism of the Toon’s performances so far this season, is determined to strengthen his squad during the transfer window.

The Geordies are currently a disappointing seventh in the table and Robson is already eyeing a £5m swoop for Standard Liege’s Belgium striker Emile Mpenza.

And Reid, 21, has become another top target.

He has built a reputation as one of the best midfielders outside the top flight.

He was a key figure in helping Forest to the play-offs last term.

And this time around he has been the outstanding performer at the City Ground, having already bagged 10 goals.

Newcastle need a long-term successor for veteran Welsh international Gary Speed, 34.

And left-footer Reid would be an ideal replacement for the former Leeds and Everton star.

If Robson snares Reid, it will be a massive blow to struggling Spurs.

White Hart Lane caretaker-boss David Pleat had a £2.5m offer for Reid rejected two days ago.

Spurs are ready to come back with an improved bid of £4m — but that is still way below Forest’s valuation of their prize asset.

If he does go, I'd like it to be Newcastle, cos I've always had a soft spot for them, and they saved us before with JJ.

Of course, I'd much prefer us to keep him.
