| Sorry, didn't realise someone had already made this point. Wish Chris Stringer was still around, he had the potential to be an awesome keeper.

I think Adamson is there purely for emergency use only ie if we couldnt sign a keeper on such short notice. Although Sturrock appears to be using the Warnock tactic of no keeper on the bench, so I havent got a clue. :o
Anyway, hope the new striker scores for us today, oh wait.....

| I don't care who scores, but I think we can pretty much guess it won't be a striker. Good job Brunt's on form, can't see a goal from anywhere else. Maybe Coughlan from a set piece?

Sounds like we stole 3 points again . From the sound of it we didn't look loke scoring up until the goal, but then we were immense for another 10 minutes or so, and we held on well, it wasn't completely backs to the wall or anything.
Still a very close division, game in hand comes on Wednesday night I think, Cardiff's another fairly tricky game.

Owls 2 Derby 1
Is there a better case for the cliche of "A game of 2 halves"? We were utterly p!ss poor in the first half and Derby should have been 1 up inside the first 5 as they hit the post. Another lucky break came soon after as Blackstock (I think) hit a shot straight at Weaver from 8 yards out - either side of the keeper it would have been 1-0. Derby had all the possession, as we created bare minimum. Peacock should have done a lot better when was at the corner of the 6 yard box, but instead of shooting he pulled the ball across the box for Agbonlahor and the chance was gone.
With a few minutes to go in the half Derby took the lead with an unmarked header into the top corner from Tudgay.
The 2nd half started pretty much even with neither side doing much, but the turning point came on the hour as a Rocky (who had a poor game) was subbed for BOB. This changed the game and we came into a lot more. We had what looked like a huuuge slice of fortune as Brunt snuck in to equalise, but he looked well offside (will have to check it out again). The goal shellshocked Derby and their defence fell to pieces as the ball was pinging around in their area. A few moments later Eagles skipped through the defence and was hacked down in the area, but instead of a penalty Eagles got a booking. It looked a very poor decision, but again, i'll have to see it again.
The winner came soon after as the defence gave Graham acres, who duly slid home the ball (great sriker btw, legend). It may hvae been 3-1 soon after but a shot went just wide of the post.
After this the game calmed down somewhat and we were able to hold onto the ball, and not cause too many heartattacks.
One sour point was the disgusting booing and ironic cheering when Rocky got subbed. Sure, he had a poor game but there was absolutely no need for what he received - what can it do for his confidence?

I don't care what anyone says, Graham is no striker
Also Peacock was brilliant again today in terms of work rate and desire. If only the poor bûgger could finish he'd be great.

Peacock had a great game, and was probably MoM for me. If he could just score now and again he'd be a decent player, but if he can play like that every game and we can FINALLY bring a golascorer in, it might be the partnership we need.
