The Official Crystal Palace Thread (sponsored by the Simon Jordan's Bargain Hunt)
So the old Palace threads died a death, as I guess most of us post on the BBS instead. But I thought I'd start one here.
So Taylor has gone, no suprise really. Although I wanted him to succeed with him being a legendary player etc, it wasn't to be and the Manager merry go around starts again.
So Palace fans show yourselves this time, it isn't that embarrasing (honestly).
Anyway the odd's on the new manager are like this...
Neil Warnock - 9/4
Paul Jewell - 3/1
Glenn Hoddle - 6/1
Martin Allen - 7/1
John Gregory - 8/1
Kit Symons - 14/1
Terry Venables - 16/1
Chris Coleman - 16/1
Dave Bassett - 20/1
Jamie Redknapp - 25/1
So Colin ****** is practically a certainty. But who would you want?
Personally I'd have Steve Clarke, but that won't happen. If not Chris Coleman. But it will be Warnock no doubt.

To be honest, i think the old thread died becuase we have just been so dull there was nothing to say under taylor.
My feelings are the same as yours, wanted him to do well, but there was nothing i saw to give any hope things were getting better, and he had to go.
Out of that list, Jewell would be great, but i cant see him coming in at all, suprised he's that short odds. Some of those have to be a wind up?
Steve Clarke would be good, as would Coleman.
Wouldnt even mind us taking a gamble on Tony Adams or Ole Gunner Solskjaer.
We wont though it will be Neil Warnock or worse, Souness.
I dont like him (warnock), but there might at least be a bit more entertainment around under him, on and off the pitch, and he does get his teams playing with a bit of commitment.

dont think so, think he was linked with it as a freind of SJ. IIRC he was asked by the press, and said it was too soon after newcastle, but not formally offered the job. Though not sure on that.
