I wasnt that keen on warnock, but im prepered to give him a chance, any sheff utd fans here with an opinion on him?
I do think that if he can get us playing with a bit more commitment, and gets some pace in the team (something taylor compleatly neglected, and thank god he identified straight away), then we have a decent shout at the playoffs still.
for the record i think under taylor i'v attended palace less than at any other time since i first started going in 1992. Hopefully will be at the stoke match.

So we lost, but I really don't care. Great effort and I'm glad to see Warnock isn't scared of dropping people who can't be arsed.
A debut for Lee Hills (a 16/17 year old left back), I was really impressed with. Looked really scared at the start, but showed guts and commitment.
Fonte, being played in his proper postion (centre back) looked solid.
Songo'o debut (on loan from Pompey) looked class in the first half, again put himself around.
And Bostock, at only 15 looks rather good indeed, there has been all the hype about him. But he didn't look out of place at all.
Watson seemed ok in the first half, but faded badly.
This is going to be a long season, could end up being a relegation battle. But i'd rather have youngsters showing bottle and pride for the shirt, and build for the future, rather than the supposed first teamers who show no bottle.
I think we could have a rather large clear out in the transfer window.
Totally enjoyed tonight, even in defeat.

| Not fussed we've lost him to be honest. Was good last year, a bit of a liability this year. Fonte tonight as centre back was far better. I guess you are a Stoke fan, I've heard we are getting Clint Hill in exchange?

couldn't believe you played a 15 year old against Watford of all teams, thought he'd be absolutely pulverized. 15 year old boy v Danny Sh*ttu didn't see any of the game, don't know if I was completely over-reacting.

| There has been a lot of hype about him. Apparently he has been courted by Barcelona, Chelsea and Arsenal. But tonight you'd never have guessed he was only 15. He isn't going to play week in week out, but he could be rather good.

Bostock bordered on arrogant tonight, loved that about him. The boy showed he can play!

| one of the least composed players on the ball i've ever seen, your get a lot of inaccurate long balls played becuase he cant do anything else. Good in the air and will be a threat from corners but nieve positioning defensively sometimes. All in all similer feelings to tony, wont be that hard to replace, no great loss. decent back up at this level.

This season he has even lost that threat from corners as well.
