He's the general manager.

but yeah bit pointless having him manage and the owner out there, and the fact that everyone says its a better standard of foood when he's cooking, makes you wonder why the hell have a gormless idiot as headchef when he is capable of doing a better job.

Awwww Mr Tinpot businessman didn't like having his toes trodden on.

Still, his take on economics is quite interesting.

Have they ever gone back to a place to find that they've 100% taken on board Ramsay's ideas and gone from strength to strength?

Actually I just caught part of an episode last night, don't know which season. It was a chef in Norfolk who had lost his job in a pub and was still gutted about it 2 years later. He was trying to cook gourmet food and charging more than 40 quid per head. He was talented, but it didn't suit the locals. Ramsay persuaded him to use a less pretentious restaurant name "Marie's" and to introduce a simple, fixed price menu of 21 pounds per head. He did so, and when Ramsay went back the restaurant was busy on a weekday night, he was making local, non-pretentious food and had cleared all his debts.

Just watched last nighs episode and got to say although the Chefs were flipping rubbish which Ramsy was right on the carvery idea could have worked, look how many bleeding people they had turn up to eat the cack they were serving up.

If they had sorted out a done a decent carvery they would probably have done well

Yes but they were there because it was cheap and people will eat any old **** if it's cheap. The people who were eating there wouldn't have paid even if the food was of a better quality.

Ramsay identified the group who were most likely to part with cash on a regular basis all year round and took measures to get them in.
