not sure what happens beyond a third class
| I think you can get a 'pass without honours' if you drop just below a third doing an honours degree.
I may be completely wrong though. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Nah from what i was told you'd get a pass without honours if you passed everything apart from one module - the honours bit just means you passed every module not the level you passed them at. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Rubbish, I got 17/100 on one of my modules. Don't even think about doing a Masters if you're on course for a 2:2.

an ordinary (or pass) degree (i.e. a degree without honours) is usually awarded to a candidate who marginally fails the honours examination, or significant parts of it. A candidate who fails badly is usually allowed to retake the examination for a pass degree, as most universities prohibit such a student from receiving hono

Got myself a 2:1 in BA(Hons) Popular Music with Music Technology - was ideally hoping to go into the music industry in some form when I started the course. Got a bit tired of the subject area by the time I was done and am now working as a Student Support Officer in an FE College.
Not really anything to do with my degree, and the pay is poor - but the holidays are good. Not sure if I'll look for something in the music industry in future, but it's always an option. Not arsed at the moment though.
As for the physical part of my degree, I've no idea where it is.

Yeah, we can afford to drop one module here too. I'm just thinking out loud really beff, I'm obviously going to strive for a 2:1, but need to be prepared for if I fall short, just mulling the options.
What course did you get your 2:2 in? iirc from a pretty good uni? Did you not make applications during your final year?

| I quit after 14 months or so actually, freelanced as part qualified for 6 months to earn money towards my masters and various other things. And the 'should have stayed on until I qualified' argument is a bit redundant really, as I was pretty sure overall that I had no interest in going into finance / business as a whole after that time. Just isn't me.

Don't really care much for some graduates - those with stuff in Maths, Sciences, Accountancy, etc. (Proper subjects) are fine with me - they deserve them. Those with stuff like "Media Studies", or "Golfing Dynamics", etc. (basically those zany subjects that majke the press) are scum.
Me - we'll I've worked myself up into a pretty decent IT role in a local company which works all over the world (Drainage Surveys, River Flow Studies, etc.) - all self taught and without recourse to get myself into £10,000 worth of debt

french and ancient history final year.
If I had money I'd do a masters simply to put off working out what I want to do. Might be a historian, who knows. Either way I bet I spend the first year doing agency work because I don't want to take a job in a job that sounds boring and useless.
