I applied to a load of advertising companies (don't ask. Seemed like a good idea at the time), so when it came to May of my final year and I had no job lined up, and IBM came calling, even throwing in a grand golden hello as incentive, I bit their hands off.

2:1 Honours Degree in Law from the University of Glasgow; Diploma in Legal Practice from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law.

Both essential to my current role as a qualified solicitor in Ayr.

I'm now working in Central London managing the IT for a large UK beauty company, but it's more the experience i gained after leaving Uni and the fact i'm good at what i do that got me a good job rather than just having a bit of paper.

Now working for Tradingstandards - giving consumer law advice, didnt have a job straight from uni, took a few years builiding up expirience, but other on ma corse were sponsored.

and whatever I can find in the winter (last year was a cleaner).

Only got £10k + student debt to pay off.
