I'm in the same boat as you AR. Jobs and careers are the "buzz" words.
Although I don't graduate til' summer '09, We have to do a 10 week placement this summer.
I see you're doing Enivronmental Science, never thought of doing Environmental Engineering type stuff? Quite interesting although my Civil Engineering degree leads me more towards structural engineering rather than Environmental.
| I've never really looked into it, as I've just kind of assumed I wouldn't be interested. It's something I'll be researching over the next week or so though, even if only to rule it out. </BLOCKQUOTE>
If it helps then there's plenty of jobs going. Especially around the areas that were subject to the flooding over the summer. Not only that, but with the swapping of the British standards for Eurocodes for everything engineering-wise, more notice is being given to the understanding of the environemnt and the biggest buzz words of all, "Sustainability" or "Sustainable Development".

All sounds scarily familiar, graduated with a first in Computer Science and AI. Did nothing to sort out any graduate jobs because I had no idea what I want to do as a career. Opportunity arose to be paid to do a MSc in Natural Computation so I'm currently doing that, but it's getting around to graduate application time and I'm still none the wiser about what I want to do.
It's alright Arjen we can test videogames as a career! Apart from the flaw it pays badly and is only a temporary position |

Absolutely Feck all. Got a degree and spent 8 months looking for a job up here and finding the market was well and truly flooded in IT (did want to leave cause of a family death).
Ended going back into my old line of work "caring" and now into the police
