I think there is a few teams in 2:1 getting the message that they can't run athletes on high all the time.
At this rate I should be safe this season and maybe even be able to get close to promotion the second half of the season.
As for my team I now have out of 61 athletes:
43 - 20 or under
14 - 21 to 24
4 - 25 or over
Average Age - 19.42
Care - 49/61 have care of 10 or better (Average care 12.5)
No real weak areas now just a handful of reserves that need improving.

Abandoned hopes of a second consecutive promotion already in the NL. Could compete if the squad was fit but still have a few weak sectors and with my middle distance being dominating but low care its going to take a season to regain the fitness levels needed for a push. Will be going low each weak and looking to avoid the relegation just by consistantly competing.
Good things atm.
Strongest mens throwing squad in the UK quite possibly . 4 30m+ javelin throwers and maybe a new one added this week. Main thing being 3 of the 4 are British, have high care and are under 20 .
Just youth pulled a scarily good female thrower. 7 strength, 9 throwing, 8-8 secondaries, 15+ care and only 16. Have her immediately on weight increase as shes only 60kg but give it a season or two in the youth and she'll be scary good.
3/4 of my squad is British, with only a few real quality foreigners thrown in (+ 2 foreign youths i'm working on with 20 care).
Bad points of squad;
Most average mens jumping team imaginable. It has possibilities with high care but no real stand out talents atm.

Gwent again appeared to have every single athlete on high, got one or two injuries I think.
Played it cool last night, I just want enough points to secure the place in league then will ease of totally with most athletes.
Good points eh? Well I still have the 1500m GB mens record holder, had a joint Belgian high jump record holder for women, managed to get a couple of decent throwers into my weakest area.
Bad points, nowhere near the depth of pool some others seem to have. Might have had a chance of promotion if I'd run everyone into the ground but really that would be quite pointless. Since Cougar is clearly concentrating on retaining his national title, will just have to try and pick up as many individual ones as possible and his squad it way too good.
Oh one bright spot was a guy I had on low who streaked to first place, which was nice.

I have something like 35/55 athletes 20 or under, only three above 24 and they are aged 25,26 and 27.
Average age is 19.75
Average care 13.6 - only 9 athletes under 10 care, and three of those are fairly decent athletes.
35 Brits, 12 Italians, 3 Belgians, 2 Dutch, 2 Germans and a Spaniard. I'm still looking to swing it a lot more the British way, but that will do for now.

Welcome, be sure to read up the newbie guide in the federation forums. If you cannae find it in the GB forum activate the aussie forum as its on the front page there, is basically a quick rundown of the basics saves you fishing through the game guide. Is really worth doing before getting started as theres some key things you want to do early.

| How did you guess
Yes everyone on low again last night again and saved quite a few for the individual on Wed. Still came 5th and should be easily able to finish mid-table this season. If you want to match me in the nationals this year I'm looking at around 28,000pts hopefully.
Going low in the league and push for promotion next season when people like Gwent have killed their athletes.
Slightly disappointed than form isn't going up as fast as I thought. Two guys still on 12 that have been on low for the last 6-8wks.
Good points - Squad depth, a handful of weaker athletes but I'm happy with the rest.
Bad points - No real top class athletes although training might change that in the next season or so.
Really bad point - Focused too heavily on primary skills and now need to pick up athletes with secondaries.

| Assigning specialities is difficult at the beginning, if you want to stick your squad in here I'll be happy to give you my opinion and I'm sure others will as well.

Trying to come up with a solution here for an athlete I really don't want to let go but may have to.
Is 16, 17 care, 11,7,1,3,2,1
She was a bit small and couldn't cut it really as a thrower (which is a worry for my latest regen), and i'm trying her out as a 400m specialist now to see if she can make the grade. May have to try and sell her on if she doesn't show something as my squad size is maxed out and shes bordering on the trash heap.

Possible, 400m definately her best sprint event.
Even with those stats throwing is not her best event by my calculations-Race Walking is although she is not great at it unless you get some really high extra skills.
