Other important thing to be done is to enroll the athletes to the events of one competition. To do this you must go to the special page Competitions, be sure to have ticked off the box Exclude automatically all the competitions your club cannot take part so you are able to see directly in wich competitions you can participate and you check if, in the field "State", you have choosen "open Registrations". What you will see is the list of the competitions in which yours athletes can join. To do this is enough to choose one of them, so choose an event and click on "Registrations", and finally select the athletes ticking off the special checkbox, choosing the attitude that he must have and finally click on "Send".

I haven't fully looked yet but isn't it the off-season at present and a new calender will be up over the next few days for the new season.

oops, that would make sense, and it would appear the next season starts on Sunday now I've worked out how to use the site a bit better.

so what effects do training have? I assume it's like battrick and the younger ones progress faster? but is there an optimal limit of players per coach, or should we just train everyone?

I've been reading the wiki, so far:

Every 2yrs above 15 = +1 wk training time

More athletes per coach = reduced training of about 3% per athlete. Average seems to be around 5 per coach giving 85% training.

Quite a few other things effect training speed, eg coach skills, athlete moral etc, competition, athlete & coach special skills.

Main thing is they have to race to get training although there is some exceptions (Training retreat).

Best thing is that as GB is a new country we can set some records when we start \o/
