Partridge, do you lot reckon he is good enough to go on and play for Ireland at one point?

In a word, yes. I don't know much about the Irish side but I think he's probably a better RM than any other Irishman at the minute. He's the kind of player that gets the crowd excited whenever he gets the ball.

We've not much by way of right wingers, after left backs it'd be one of our weaker positions. Mark Kennedy, Steven Reid, Steve Finnan and Colin Healy are the man contenders, with Delap, McAteer, Kelly and Carsley as their backup. Reid would be my first choice, and while imo he's potentially absoluteley class, he's hardly a big name atm, and it's hardly an awe inspiring selection for the minute. Actually, speaking of Healy, how was he on loan at Coventry?

He was always good at winning the ball and making good ground with it IIRC. Having never seen Reid play, I couldn't say whether he is any better than Partridge, but if I was Ireland manager, he would be there on my teamsheet.

Aye, Healy is mainly a central mid fielder but due to injurys has played wide right in his last two games for us, is suprisingly good going forward though, I thought he'd just be a defencive work horse but he seems alot more.

The Academy teams face a trip down the M1 as this weekend’s fixtures see both sides drawn away to play Fulham.

Brian Borrows’ under 17s will be hoping to get back to winning ways against the Cottagers after going five games without a win.

George Mackie’s under 19s will be looking to end their run of poor results by notching up their second win of the season against the London side.

A Coventry City player is all set to score three goals tomorrow afternoon for the Sky Blues – against Warbury.

Fans of the Striker cartoon strip in the Sun will have noticed the Sky Blues are riding high in Division One at the moment, second only to Portsmouth after their 1-1 draw with Walsall last weekend.

And tomorrow City have the chance to go top as they play mid-table Warbury, and rumour has it a Coventry man will score a hat-trick.

Whether or not that will be enough to secure the win remains top be seen but let’s hope the Sky Blues are as proficient in front of goal in real life in tomorrow's match with Wolves.

Richie Partridge is more of a left sided player IMO, and wil have trouble to displace the wonderful Kilbane

Gary Mcallister and a 3-0 win btw...still second by a point though...

I can't believe we're losing against Wolves. How well do we have to play to score a goal? Losing Macca didn't help....but I'm sure someone has cretive ability out there.

Another defeat. its starting to look like we won't be able to turn it around. the referee outrageously booked four of our players in the first half for minor offences, but no WOlves players, despite three of our players being taken off for treatment, a red card offence by Marc Edworthy, and Paul Ince's terrible tackle ending Macca's game. but we were rubbish in the second half to be honest, made some bad substitutions.

Coventry 0
Wolves 2

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Newcastle United defender Stephen Caldwell is still to sign a new contract, sparking speculation he could join Coventry City on a Bosman in June. The young centre-half is still to hold new talks with Newcastle officials after an earlier contract offer was withdrawn last month.Sky Blues boss Gary McAllister is monitoring events and was linked with the 22 year-old in the Sunday newspapers yesterday.McAllister has Caldwell's brother, Gary, currently on-loan from Newcastle.
