I wouldn't be surprised if MA tried to buy Cullip in the summer, although we have been linked with Shaun Derry the Portsmouth centre half. We need another centre back after Gary Rowett left yesterday.
Hey d_s maybe you can take Junior Lewis off us permanently.

I'd rather have Eustace and Gary Mac in the centre of the park. maybe we could have him as backup for when Gary retires.

quote:
I'd take Breen back in a second though Him and Daish totally ruled

Breen has been linked with a move to Espanol.
Player/manager Gary McAllister has revealed that a number of clubs have been in contact with Highfield Road to ask about the availability of David Thompson, Magnus Hedman and Lee Hughes.
But the Sky Blues boss, who has himself already targeted five new players to come in including a centre-half to replace Gary Breen, feels any big money moves away from the club could take some time.
Although McAllister wouldn’t reveal which clubs have been in touch, Thompson has already been linked with Aston Villa, Everton and Blackburn. The Toffees are also believed to be interested in Hedman, while rumours linking £5m striker Hughes to West Brom refuse to go away.
As well as an experienced centre-back, McAllister is actively looking for a goalkeeper and left-back with the expected sale of Hedman and the departure of Marcus Hall.
“We have had inquires for the three players which doesn’t surprise me,” said McAllister who is also looking to bring in a number three to his back room staff in the next few weeks.
He did admit, though, that an attempt to bring Chris Kirkland back to Highfield Road on-loan from Liverpool had been flatly rejected. (DAMN !!!)
Trevor Peake and Steve Ogrizovic will be staying with the Sky Blues to help mastermind a push back to the Premiership.
Gary McAllister said both were part of his plans despite the arrival of assistant boss Eric Black and a new coach who is expected to be named in the next couple of weeks.
Scotland centre-half Gary Caldwell is an apparent target now
Newcastle are steeling themselves to lose their Scotland international centre-half Gary Caldwell. It is understood that Gary McAllister is poised to make Caldwell his first signing as the new manager of Coventry City.
However, despite the fact that Caldwell is out of contract, United would receive a compensation fee. Caldwell is only 20 and under the Bosman ruling a club must be compensated if they lose a player who has not reached the age of 24.
United want £2 million but Coventry are more likely to pitch their offer at around £500,000.
Coventry can either agree a deal with United or go to a tribunal to fix the figure.
Coventry City are expected to move with Motherwell now ready to listen to offers for French star Eric Deloumeaux.
The classy defender has refused to take a pay-cut and administrator Bryan Jackson said: "Eric was asked, along with other players at Motherwell, to accept new terms in view of the club's financial difficulties.
"Sadly, we could not agree terms and, as a result, he will be placed on the transfer list.
"Eric was the only player we still had to agree terms with. The remainder of the squad have been retained on revised or existing contracts."
Is he any good ?
I've always liked the look of their Northern Irish winger Stuart Elliott
