I think he got more stick than he deserved, he's an excellent shot-stoppper, I remember down at Watford he made some wonderful saves to keep us in the game but all he got was relentless stick from the SBA, and although I do love "timmy", do you remember the clanger he dropped at home to Walsall?

from iccoventry.co.uk

West Bromwich Albion could be lining up a double swoop for Coventry City stars.

The Baggies are expected to step up their interest in new players during this week, with ex-Hawthorns hero Lee Hughes and his former City team-mate Gary Breen re-emerging as targets.

It is understood a string of sides from Italy, Spain and Germany have shown an interest in the latter.

Breen, who is available on a Bosman free transfer, emerged as one of the best performers of the Republic of Ireland's World Cup campaign.

Hughes would be keen on a return to his former club. But it is understood wages could be a problem.

And Breen, who is available on a Bosman free transfer, could also be priced out of Albion's range due to his excessive wage demands with the Irish centre-back on about £20,000-a-week.

Coventry City are lining up Raimond van der Gouw to replace want-away goalkeeper Magnus Hedman.

Gary McAllister is chasing Manchester United's second choice stopper whose contract at Old Trafford runs out this month.

With Hedman looking for a move to either the Premiership or abroad - a decision which suits the Sky Blues who are looking to get the highly paid Swede off the wage bill - the 39-year-old Dutchman is seen as the ideal replacement.

The 6ft 3ins player has been with United since 1996, but has made just 49 starts.

West Brom are abandoning their bid to re-sign their former striker Lee Hughes from City - because they cannot afford his wages.

The former Hawthorns hero is being paid around £17,500 a week at Highfield Road after his £5million move from across the West Midlands before the start of last season.

The Baggies are reported to only be offering a maximum £10,000 a week and, despite having the chance to play Premiership football, it is likely to be too big a price for the player to pay.

Oh well we can keep Lee Hughes you never know what will happen with him.

P.S. Have you seen the backpage of the CET? Hedman has already agreed terms with Espanyol but we haven't accepted a bid from them which leads me to belive that there has been an illegal approach for Hedman or am I wrong?
