Just wondering if anyone here supports a real life lower league club.
I'm an Ipswich fan but have never managed them in any FM as it does my head in when players I know are rubbish are suddenly good in the game and vice versa!
I just wondered if there was a real life supporter of a lower league club here how accurate FM is to your club as we know the bigger clubs have relentless research but just intrigued to know how accurate they've got it lower down the pyramid.

I can't say I hate Ipswich as never really had to worry about them although the Colchester based Ipswich fans have always annoyed me.
I think most of the people I go to games with would still prefer to hammer Wycombe than your lot, not to say I won't enjoy the game at the end of the month though.

They've just been promoted to the Regional League North so should be in FM08. Unfortunately, my laptop's retarded and I'll not be able to check how decent or crap they are.
I will say that their squad is wholly accurate in FM07, which is quite impressive for a team that's not even playable at the start.
To expand on the OP here. I've started 2 games on the FM08 demo, one with Eastleigh, one with Southampton. The Eastleigh squad seems spot on to my eye. Although in the Saints squad there is a loanee who the coaches consider to be the strongest central defender in the squad, where as in real life, the general consensus is that he's the 2nd most useless player ever to pull on a Saints shirt, behind only a certain player who was the pretend cousin of an ex-world player of the year.

Barside - I think your lot will stay up without a problem. Losing the players you did I've been impressed with how the negative ex-Ipswich midfielder has done in the transfer market as some signings look okay so far!
My old man played for Weymouth and Dorchester back in the Southern League and he still follows Weymouth. It's spooky how they play in FM2007 like my old man says they does and it just goes to show how amazing the research is.
