Holiday for the first and started in earnest in the second.

Started in first season, but Norway runs calendar years, so I started in Jan 2008.

I, on the other hand, will not miss out on all the goodies of a new version because of a minor glitch. How long will I have to wait until the game is patched properly? 2, 4, 6 months?

I will not let zealotry stand in the way of me playing the game. Having said that, I am foolish and zealous enough to let this first save go to hell though because after 4 months I still don't have a scout and still don't want to use the search

Now, I'm getting stubborn. How long do I have to wait for an applicant?

I'm actually quite provoked by this. Are you trying to say I and others are throwing away LLM ethics because we'd prefer to be able to get players to a team filled with greys??

I reiterate that is is a non-issue in most teams, as most teams have enough players to field a team, and have staff. But when you don't have players nor staff, and nobody replies to your ads for months on end, and yet there are perhaps a hundred people willing to join you, there clearly are issues with the Job Centre. In such situations I am willing to search for one with the proper nationality, location and crapness.

LLM is about playing the game as realistically as possible. It's not realistic to have a team in the Conference N/S level with a few 15 and 16 yo, or no players at all. We know there are scouts willing to join, and yet none reply to ads. Then I think it's justifiable to call them up and ask them.

I'm hoping the Job Centre will work better after a bit of patching. Pointing out the problem to SI is the only thing that can solve it. FM has evolved very nicely for LLaMas. With the Job Centre fixed there will be no grey zones at all.

Firstly, it's a problem which has been reported and is being investigated. It needs to be fixed.

Secondly,it's my personal choice never to use the search function, my enjoyment of the game is not diminished if I start with no scout.
It's an amusing dilemma for me.
Eventually one will turn up or I'll get the brown envelope, even better I might succeed with the players available to me.

It's not unrealistic to go and poach a scout from another club but I won't be doing that.
