Gems all a matter of comparison. In a squad full of carpness even average players can be stars. So maybe once or twice a season if lucky,none if it doesn't work, though that may just be my current save.

My only FM wonderkid came through my youth team in my Billericay 06 save. He even was capped for England before I got sacked, at which point he was only 21 and had scored almost 100 Premier League goals for me.

What I'd give to have another like him...

But yeah, I had two amazing strikers on my FM 07 Rynninge save, god I wish I still had that save.

Best I've managed in a few years now was a kid I signed for nothing from a French club at 15 years old. 9 years and 2 promotions later he was playing for the French national team and still plugging the centre of my midfield like a trooper.
Then he had a strop and I dropped him for his entire testimonial season. The silly gallic sod.

Had a brilliant striker once. Seem to remember making a topic about him, where I called him McPoof.

Can't remember if he got through the ranks or I got him cheap, but I actually think it was the former. Either way, he was the best striker I've ever had. Scored for fun.

To answer that: the swedish league system is seriously misrepresented ingame. And it's a problem that will (hopefully) be fixed to next iteration of FM. For a quick explanation look in the data-thread for the Swedish data.

It's a problem that has been discussed since early beta amongst swedish betatesters, for at least 2 years.

I had a couple of gems on my last FM07 save with Leigh RMI, however my chairman saw fit to sell them both for peanuts, so I left like a monkey.

Gutted too. My team was so awesome until The Great Sell Off.

Oh, my Billericay 06 stalwart deserves a mention too. He went all the way from Conference to Premier League with me, scoring 326 league goals for the club (my previous CM/FM best with one player was 'only' 198). He played one season with the above mentioned wonderkid before retiring, passing on the torch if you will.
Except I was gone three years later.
