I'm considering retraining this D/WB R to be able to play as a proper midfielder, as he's already competent as an M R.
Would that be okay within the bounds of LLM, seeing as im a semi-professional side?
One could argue that only training a few times a week would leave no time for learning a new position. The counter-argument is that if i want to mess up his training by having him learn a new position, that's my prerogative, as his manager.
Any thoughts?
Apologies if this topic has been brought up in the past.
Can't see an issue with it myself, and in fact, lack of cash would probably dictate more flexibility from lower league players so I reckon it's all good
Can't say I've ever thought about it in the way you've suggested. I've no problem with it and have used this feature in the past.
Perhaps one of the 'elder statesmen' of LLM can weigh in but I'd doubt you'd find anyone having a problem with it.
Its realistic to do this. You're the boss, train the players how you like and see if it works. No doubt your blokes will be just as poor in another position.
Yeah, I don't have any problem with this, and try it out sometimes myself. Usually not a great success, but there you go.
As it's sort of along the same lines, what are your thoughts on specialized training, as opposed to the general schedules? I usually don't try to come up with decent schedules for position, before the club has progressed a fair bit, at least getting out of N/S. I doubt clubs on that level has the resources to have specialized training for all players. Thoughts?
Well, as long as i'm part time, i wont even touch the training screens. I might hire the odd extra youth coach, but that's about it.
I highly doubt St. Albans (the team i'm currently <STRIKE>hating</STRIKE>coaching) would even bother with specialized training schedules for the motley crew of almost-have-beens and never-will-be's.
If we go professional, if we get a decent training centre, if my budget can afford some decent coaching staff, then i'd say yes, advanced training is go.
As a part-time club the players have part time contracts - so do the staff in most cases - this modifies the effects of training accordingly.
Most non-league footballers I know train, sometimes up to 4 times a week - so I think you can train your players and be satisfied that the game is taking care of this within LLM boundaries.
That said, of course - it's your game, do as you want to etc...
I'm not so sure. Hmmm, I would expect any team, to alter training, split defenders, striker etc and give them a few different things to do, even if, in reality it would be just for a few minutes.
