Personally I would love to see the other tiers of the league system in the US. For a start this would make it more worthwhile to loan players out from MLS clubs to the lower league clubs, and there's also the argument that teams like the Vancouver Whitecaps already have the fanbase, etc to be an MLS team.

However the lack of promotion/relegation coupled with the differences in terms of trading/drafting and the ability to buy/sell players would probably make it impossible. Darnit.

Rochester, Portland, Montreal as well.

But it would be a great challenge.

They don't have the etc., because they have a small stadium, and the new one isn't approved as of yet. The fan base is there, but there needs to be more work done in the other areas.

I'm sure there's plenty...after all, America and Canada are big places with lots of big cities.

Fair point. I should say they easily have the potential to be an MLS team.

Also I hope nobody minds me popping in here just to post to this thread. I was reading just about everything I could see in the forum the other day and I liked this particular thread...I can't claim to be a LLM, and my desire to manage a USL First Division team probably shows that. I'm just a fan of American soccer/football.
