Welcome aboard Dryton. You're the kinda newbie we like

I very much recognize what you're talking about! I can get really mental when playing FM. It's like puberty all over again. Lows and highs, deep love and complete hatred running side by side.

Many a time I've caught myself screaming at the screen, having to walk away for a good while to cool down. I have to say that I'm really impressed with the sturdyness of keyboard-design... Keys can be flying in all directions while you're beating the living daylight out of the thing, and it still works after. Remarkable!

There was one time CPR didn't help. It was after a Need for Speed session and not FM. I think it was number 2. When you crashed in it, your car would flip over and get back on the road without that ghost thing. Then other cars would naturally crash into you, resulting in a car that couldn't drive. Anyway, this happened a lot during one of the sessions, and I went absolutely mental at the keyboard. Keys were flying across the entire room, I was beating the thing worse than Muhammed Ali in his heyday. By the end the keyboard looked like an S. Seriously! The metal plate inside it had been bent in a few directions, so it was like a S that had fallen over. The weird thing is it still ****ing worked!! Well, to a certain extent..

Not the most practical keyboard, so had to buy a new. I got the cheapest they had

Oh, and another thing some may remember is that I broke my hand in FM Rage a year or two ago. Was so ****ed off I couldn't control myself. Was walked back and forth in the room in uncontrollable rage. Then I made the mistake of looking at the match again, and some plurk did yet another mistake. I then hit the closest object, which unfortunately was the seat of my office chair. Thin padding and a metal plate below do not go well with human bone...

Instantly knew something was wrong as I got sick, dizzy and almost had to throw up. After 3 days of pain I said "Enough" and went to the doctor. Had to operate as some bones were very out of position, and then walk around with pins sticking out of my hand.

Was so embarrassed about it I said I had fallen on the ice  The people in here are the only ones who know what happened (at least now). My family and friends got told the ice story

The doctor that operated me was doubtful though, and didn't quite buy it. He said it was typical for punching injuries, and wondered if I'd been in a brawl

Lucky sod. I did something similar, but all they did was tape two of my fingers together, and six years later I still have bones out of place, got a nice lump just in front of my wrist. I was *ahem* under the influence a little at the time, so didn't really know about it till the next day.

Some doctors really don't know WTF they're doing. I broke a finger some years ago, and they never put it straight again. So now it's still out of place

I second that, it took 3 goes to spot that I ruptured my cruciate ligament & when I broke my foot last xmas the doctor asked me when was it that I broke my ankle? With my reply being what do you mean? I've never broken my ankle. It turns out what my GP said was soft tissue damage a few years back was actually a break that has now healed itself, it did explain the slight limp that I've developed though.
