Hi

I'm trying to play as close to LLM rules as possible, only signing scouted players etc etc.

But I have a question. I can't scout outside my own borders, but I can easily see the registered squad lists for U19 / U21 European nations. Am I allowed to offer unattached players trials and then consider buying them from that?

Sorry if this is a no no and I should know this, but I am not clear on whether I am allowed or not!

I can easily fire up the search screen and see the defined players, but I don't.

I'm going to say no, I can't see it being acceptable in LLM unless you can scout the player, or they come up in an in game news report.

Yup. What Brian said is how I roll too - asking yourself "is this realistic?" will usually give you a true enough result.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I'm with Tim on this definately a no go area for me plus I don't think the board would appreciate you signing a player purely on the basis that he's in lets say the Latvian youth squad never mind the question of whether the lad actually want to up sticks to play lower league football in another country.

Search screen = no. I get that.

But I figure that since I can log onto FIFAs web site to find out registered squads for U17, U19 etc tournaments then an LLM could do this if they wanted to. Since no one came on a trial it is a moot point anyway

Is it realistic for Eastleigh to pick up U-19 or U-21 Internationals to play in the Blue Square South?

Answer that and you'll answer your question.

Incidentally, looking for ways to make the game easier isn't LLM.

I'm not trying to make the game 'easier' - I am trying to find gems that might join me. I am not a total sadist

I like the challenge of starting at the bottom but that doesn't mean I want to stay there forever.

And yes, realism, I started playing BSN, I don't expect anyone wants to join me, but I don't see the harm in trying.

I appreciate your comments, if I was a 'real' LLM then I'd try to sign people if I could find them using whatever resources I have. The game will decide whether 17 year old Fred von Jones wants to join me or not I figure
