Although I still met the criteria of Barsides original challange though so I still win

I would exclude these nations as I wouldn't find it beyond the realms of possibility for say an Irish U-17 international to be playing for an English club although they are more likely to be higer up the pyramid.

As for Dappen's example does anyone know where the lad was born?

Yeah, should be rated as 21+ No restrictions there, don't let anyone below the age of 21 online.

Players here tend to have connections through European ex-pats who are now living locally in Canada, rather than get "scouted" simply because they've become part of the national team set up. Or, as a current England International who went to Man Utd via Bayern Munich, identified in spite of not being included in the national side at all.

It's rare that a player gets an opportunity in Europe simply because he played for a youth national team here in Canada. Almost always it's because of connections he'll come across in his playing days.
