would be a risky manager for any club to hire with him quitting twice now due to stress

At Palace, IIRC. During that time i was living in Hong Kong and a friend of mine met him in a bar. He was having a great 'ol time and when my friend asked him about his role he basically said "i dont really do anything" ... probably tongue in cheek but maybe he needs something similar. Mate said was a top bloke, had a great laugh.
Kinda hard to imagine that really isnt it

Basically took Reading as far as he could. Probably best for both parties.
I'd love him back at Palace, but that will never happen.
When I was younger, our family shared a table with Steve Coppells family at the Palace player of the year do. Many years ago now and Steve has now split from his wife. One of the nicest blokes you can meet though.

Well I can't see him leaving before the end of the season , so if he can keep us up , then leave I'd be very very pleased with what he has done to the club.
He will always have a place at Reading , no matter what.

Seems strange tbh. He's obviosuly not gonna get a "top" job if he quits from Reading.
Paul Jewell taken a job a couple of weeks too early, Reading would've been perfect for him | coppell will see out the season. derby get relegated, jewell jumps ship. easy. </BLOCKQUOTE>
If history tells us anything I'm not even sure he'll see out the year now he's the let the cat out of the bag. What's the point of handing him money in January to build for the future? </BLOCKQUOTE>
whs. Announcing you're going to leave in x amount of month's time is a bad place to be.
Should unsettle the players, which bodes well for our game with them this weekend.

TBF he announced this last week , it's just that Sky have only just picked up on it.
Secondly , you don't need anything to bode well , we shall be destoryed by at least 4.
