I am hoping to make one for an FM clan that I want to start.
So it should have simple functionalities, nothing too complicated!

Could anyuone recommend a good, easy, FREE place to start?

What sort of content do you want?

Do you just want a couple of basic pages linked together, or do you want a blog or a forum?

I'll post you some links to freeware and tutorials later - but I've got to go out for a few hours now. Sorry.

just google 'free portal hosting' until you figure out if you actually want to do something or not.

that'll give you a forums with a front page to post news etc.

Well, a couple of pages really...some information about the clan, and an application area, where people can apply for places.
Forums might be in order, but I need to get the basic setup working first.
