Default My First LLM Challenge - Is this fair game?

Apologies first of all as I'm sure you get lots of stupid questions asking is this or that eligible for LLM when it blatantly isnt, but please bear with me.

I set about choosing my club on the basis that my PC is pants so didn't want to choose a country with two many leagues as it would take too long to run, but not to few as it would be a kop out and not really LLM. I decided on Germany as this fit my PC criteria and as I have 2nd nationality of German it was realistic to me as well.

I chose a lovely club by the name of FSV Ludwigshafen-Oggersheim! They are the only semi-pro team in the league, have no training facilities, awful valuation, no money and predicted to finish bottom so i thought this would be a real challenge. This really hit home when for all of my first few games the media prediction was "Oggersheim face the impossible" and the opponents were all 1/10 on to win!

No problems there for LLM but my problem is this. I have just noticed that the capacity for my stadium is 30000 with 6000 seating. I thought there was no way this could be right for a such a poor low league club and after some internet browsing this turned out to be true. The link below shows the stadium is actually only a capacity of 6500.

http://www.soccerassociation.com/cgi.../fsvoggersheim

Whilst I have not cheated in anyway I cant help but think this will be a huge advantage to my finances. I could change this in the editor but then that would definately be in breach of the rules, even though it wouldn't be benefiting me in any way. Short term will be ok as only 100 sad chaps bought season tickets and only 1200 attended my first home game, but if/when i rise in stature surely money will start to flood in whereas in real life it would not happen until I expand the stadium, obviously at a cost.

I have logged this in the data forum so hopefully it will be updated for the next patch but would this change mid game when i update the patch or would it only affect a new game? i'm not sure what to do in the meantime. Really getting into this game after a great start to the season (1 win and 2 close defeats, when we were meant to be looking to avoid the embarrasment of finsihing bottom).

My love affair with the mighty Oggers has only just begun and already it looks like coming to an uprupt end :-(

The initial expenses (much higher stadium rent etc.) will hurt more than the long-term benefit, so there is no problem. Enjoy your game!

Like Cosmo said, you won't fill it and that will hit the wallet pretty hard and so it adds another hurdle to overcome. I understand where you are coming from though - I don't like to start at a huge stadium either!

What both guys said ^

I remember playing with Düsseldorf in FM2006, and their beautiful, shiny, world class, huge capacity stadium made me bleed financially for years.

It'll probably be years before your fancy stadium will break even, let alone make money. Unless you're very lucky in Cup draws and have huge sides play your at your own ground.

In any case, even if the patch contains a data update and the stadium capacity is fixed in said data update, your save game won't be affected. So you'll need to start a new game to have the proper capacity.

I'm playing with Oggersheim at the moment as well, and we sold 46 season tickets So I don't think the extra revenue from a 36000 seater stadium will be coming my way very soon

Ok, thanks for your advice. I will get back to my game and report back with an update in 3 seasons, hopefully my supersize stadium wont have bankrupted me!
