| Yeah, I applied to LSE, ICL, KCL, UCL, Oxford and Warwick. LSE don't do pure maths though.
In terms of reputation for Maths, Cambridge is best, followed by Warwick, Oxford and Imperial. UCL are catching up with them. And then behind them you have Nottingham, Bristol, Bath, Manchester, Durham and maybe some more. I wouldn't bother applying to the rest.

Up until last week, I was definitely applying for Cambridge but now I'm not so sure after having visited Oxford last Friday. Went back up to Cambridge on Monday and am visiting Oxford again tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to make my choice soon. The decision really comes down to whether I want to take History and Politics and whether I can be bothered with the history aptitude test. Aside from Oxbridge, I"m thinking of places like Edinburgh, Durham, York, Warwick, Nottingham, Bristol etc - haven't done enough research on these yet though.
| I do History at York afer being rejected by Oxford. \o/ </BLOCKQUOTE>
I'll be going to York to study History in October as long as my results are good enough.

| The only person being a moron here is you. Gauging intelligence on posts on an internet messageboard while you think it's worth risking a uni place for the sake of having your personal statement analysed by a few people on this messageboard.

you can gauge intelligence by posts on a message board. saying stupid stuff is quite a good indicator of being stupid.
and seriously, what risk? what are the freaking odds math boy?

Leeds is supposed to be very good for maths.
Need 320/340 points or AA in maths and further maths to get in.

| The odds are unimportant when the risks are so great, especially considering he wasn't going to get alot of feedback on here. Common sense really, wouldn't expect you to have to be a maths boy to understand that, especially since you deem yourself as quite intelligent.

That's quite a high requirement, wasn't aware of that. Usually high entry requirements will mean that course will be attracting a higher quality of students and therefore will have good prospects.

| If you're struggling with preventing yourself from getting run over by crossing a street I'd say that's quite a good idea
With this logic even I'm struggling to believe you're not getting those high grades.
