this has really been depressing me. if only i'd actually turned up to school and not looked at all the content for my entire italian history paper on the way to the exam i might be getting aaa. as it is i don't really know, something in the bbb/bbc region sounds about right. but i don't really know, it could be really bad.
if i do better than i expect i'll do a serious subject at a good uni. if i do worse than i expect then no point doing a course no one values. i'll just do film or writing or something.
not knowing what i'll get means i cba to look properly at unis and stuff. edinburgh looked sexy but it's four years at full tuition fees. the massive scottish homos.

I was also at the Newcastle Open day today, however as it is my local Uni, I have no interest in going to it and so left within half an hour.
I didn't realise the application system was already open - thought it didn't open till September. Regardless, My current plan is to apply for Anthropology at UCL, Edinburgh, Manchester, Durham and one other depending on my AS Grades. I think I'd love to go to London tbh.
I'm off to Oxbridge open days next week - very much doubt I'll get AAA but the college invited me regardless (probably because hardly anyone in the College will get AAA)

Yeah I thought it was September as well but my school were telling us all about it the other day and we've all had to register etc. and can now put our personal statements up, as well as our choices.

I'm applying for history and, unless my results are a major disappointment (and a bit of a surprise tbh), I'll be applying to Oxbridge. Up until last week, I was definitely applying for Cambridge but now I'm not so sure after having visited Oxford last Friday. Went back up to Cambridge on Monday and am visiting Oxford again tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to make my choice soon. The decision really comes down to whether I want to take History and Politics and whether I can be bothered with the history aptitude test. Aside from Oxbridge, I"m thinking of places like Edinburgh, Durham, York, Warwick, Nottingham, Bristol etc - haven't done enough research on these yet though.

I'll summarise Warwick. The courses are great. Interesting, challenging, good reputation and lots of support. Especially maths. The nightlife is limited though. Everyone gets p*ssed all the time and it's good fun but the quality and quantity of places to go out to is pretty low.

Haven't really thought about it yet, although Cardiff and Nottingham are two I am considering. Really need to wait for my results as I got AAB in January, and the B was in my strongest subject. Therefore there is a chance I could be looking at AAA or it could have been a bit of luck and I will need to be aiming lower.
Would really like to do economics but I didn't take AS maths, so it's looking like Law at the moment.
What extra stuff do people have on their UCAS? I get the feeling mine is going to be pretty bare as I rarely help out within the school.

I'm just starting my personal statement now, cause for some reason by school wants drafts in within the next week, and I have no sweet clue how to start it or anything. Everyone seems to start them like "Ever since I was young..." or something similar and I don't wanna just go along with everyone else, but it's a logical starting point.
Got a feeling mine is going to be pretty rubbish as I hardly do anything. I've got my interest in the subject I wanna do, and I've got sports in that I was captain of teams in and out of school but that's about it.
