Yeah well I have been predicted BBB would that be good enough to get anywhere near any courses at Sussex in my sort of area?
Thanks for the information though, i just really like the area in general and thats why I want to go. How fit are the women aswell?
| I happen to be reading the Sussex Prospectus atm - there are quite a few that want BBB, but it all really depends on how popular the course you want to do is. Have you got a rough idea of what you want to do? </BLOCKQUOTE>
English Language and Media, i heard its something like 54 to 1 place? Terribly frustrating if true. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I cant find the application ratio, but the typical grade range is AAB-ABB. Seems Sussex are particuarly good at English and thus make high offers. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Are you applying to Sussex? which course are thinking of doing?

I was going to when I thought we still had 6 options - but since we now only have 5, probably not. It's still an option though.

Thought I'd bring this thread back after getting AS results.
I'm now trying to write the personal statement for UCAS for a law degree, could anyone give me any hints on what to include? Especially from anyone who is taking or has taken a law degree, and is it worth including any specific relevant cases etc?
Thanks guys

My AS-level results:
Maths: B 227/300 253
Business Studies: B 217/300
Computing: B 215/300 265
General Studies: B 213/300 267
Law: A 267/300 213
The letter in bold is obviously my grade, the normal styled numbers were my UMS points this year, and the italics are the number of points I need to gain for an A next year. Business Studies hasn't got one because I'm not taking it to A2. In Law, I got 120/120 on one paper, 88/90 on another and then 59/90 on the third, which is a bit odd and I'm probably going to resit that so I'm nearer to 300 for this year. I was very disappointed with my results, because I know I didn't put the effort in and I know I can do better. Computing result served me right to be honest. I've always been good with computers and known how they worked and so on and so forth, and because of this I did literally no revision for the exams, and it's basically taught me a lesson.
On the univeristy front, I think I've just about put York out of the question, because they require an A at maths, which is going to be 253 points next year, which is a big ask on A2 maths. Might end up resitting two of this years papers which I know I can do alot better on.
Hard work to be done next year in all subjects.

That should be easier than the shambles above.
