Hi guys, im new to lower league management and just have a couple of questions before i start...

1) Do you have to start unemployed?

2) Do you have to start at the very bottom division? i.e is being a conference national team ok?

3) Manager reputation - do you have to set this as automatic (unproven) or doesn't this matter?

1) Up to you

2) Preferred, but for a first go Blue Square Prem is fine

3) Again, preferred

I play Sunday League and so start with that. Can't say I've noticed any advantage though!

I never even knew there was an option like this - is it some new-fangled FM08 thing, or has it always been there?

Definitely there in 07. If you haven't set it to anything, then it was Automatic.
