A new FM means a new career save in the depths of eastern europe for my deranged canadian manager. This time those depths mean the Polish 2nd division, where men are men, and football is a fistfight on grass.

Podbeskidzie (Polish 2L)/FC Den Bosch (Dutch 1st)
So off to Poland, for perhaps the shortest period i've spent at a club. A struggling start to the season with a 6 point deduction to start with, and no money sees us struggle up to 12th by the winter break and shortly after the resumption of the season in March an injury hit side sees us lose 4-0 to bottom of the league, and i'm swiftly shown the door.
On to Holland then and a strong Den Bosch side pushing for the playoffs, but so far over the wage budget that we were close to hitting our heads on it coming back round. A very thin squad, and players on wages far beyond our means leads to us playing in the playoffs with only 2 16 year old MCs and a 15 year old at DC. This sees us swiftly humped in the first round drawing a difficult first season to an end

FC Den Bosch/Lechia Zielona Gora (Polish 2L)
Finances in freefall, a team of arrogant no effort bums hogging the wage budget that was rapidly shrinking and no hope, I leave Den Bosch in October for a better life back in Poland.
Start of November sees me in place at newly promoted and struggling Lechia Zielona Gora, playing in front of a staggering 400 demented home fans at the Sulechowska stadium, a 10000 capacity monster of a stadium. The job involves no hopes, as the team is bottom and lagging behind, and a nice easy trip to the league leaders Slask in freezing rain sees me with a nice warm welcome a game before the winter break, we escape with a 0-0 draw, the travelling fan is ecstatic.
18 points for safety is the target I set the team for the second half of the season, we meet that expectation on the last day with a 2-1 win at home, we stay up on goal difference, its not pretty but its effective stuff. Evidently polish strikers are unfamiliar with team buses, and stand around confused when one is parked in front of the goal.
Yet again the wage budget looks set to shrink faster than our ageing bunch of season ticket holders, 4 keel over during preseason and their tickets are returned costing us a new striker.
2009/2010
Lechia Zielona Gora
My first full season of play at one team, and the game freshly beta patched. Players are shown the door to reach the promised land of the wage budget and solvency. We're still losing 40k a week . 5 players in to give us some semblance of a squad, and I take a gamble going for midtable so I can sign that striker I always wanted.
A good start to the season sees us 4th at the winter break, the cup is a no brainer as always, but our league form has been strong as the opposition have the experts brought in to study the large vehicular object behind our keeper.
Unfortunately in the 2nd half our growing financial trouble sees the team bus sold off to a local cattle farmer and the keeper and most of the squad are busy in the local hospital getting patched up. The exception to the injury crisis being our extremely well rested midfield, as they spend every other match suspended as the cards stack up. We slip to 7th by seasons end but its still beyond the boards wildest dreams. 2 year plan met comfortably, and a new contract follows. I accept, foolish mistake, the board cut my wage budget by 25% and set me a target of midtable. Another 4 season ticket holders die off in preseason as the numbers drop from 22 to 18, still 2 more than last year as the departeds families buy heckling rights for the season ahead, I pull out the heavy duty rain mack in anticipation.
Club is in a finacial hole, the team is growing slowly but more in spite of the clubs efforts than by any concerted effort on the pitch. Can see me being sacked by the winter break unless the board leaves first, come on the takeover.
