I think the point that the LLMers are trying to make to you skershaw is that
a) LLM played as realistic as possible should be challenging enough
b) LLM is not about giving yourself the most difficult job possible
For example, we do not terminate affiliate links between english clubs to make the game more difficult, we do it because it's realistic. Parent/Feeder deals are not allowed by the FA in the domestic leagues.
So what they are trying to point out that starting with the dafuge challenge (The take over a club with no players or whatever it is) is not LLM, playing the game as realistic as possible is LLM.
If you are doing that, then we have no problem here, I hope.

So if I start a game with a team in the lowest level of English football on the game with the aim of making them as successful as I possibly can using LLM rules about Scouts and Job Centres, this doesn't make it LLM because?
You seem to be deliberately ignoring what I've said. As I said further up, if you say you're playing LLM that's fine.
But you made a statement earlier that equated the challenge with LLM. Even you would admit that for the majority of people doing it it is not LLM as this forum knows it.

I don't see what's realistic about taking over a team with no players though.
With promoted sides from unplayable leagues, that tends to be more often a problem with not enough players loaded into the game even with a large database rather than the choice of the user, especially in earlier seasons.
I've never managed two promotions in three seasons from the North or South Conferences before.
I did take AFC Wimbledon up into the Conference and then after 3 years of mid-table finishes, was offered the Mansfield job who had been relegated to the Conference, I did take them straight up into the league and then took the League 2 title in my first season for my first ever consecutive promotions on FM07. (That was with a good squad and good finances).
Just started Dafuge's challenge with Tiverton, no money, small wages, 4 under 18 players and no staff!!! Oh the joy of LLM
I thought that you couldnt use English teams with that challenge
A very decent season actually. Managed to sign a few VERY decent players and renew the contracts of most of the existing squad, except for a few midfielders who got sold for good cash.
Despite not winning a SINGLE pre season game, we started the season impressively, leading the league till the midst of February.
At that point, our thin squad and non-existent youth back-up showed, when some important players were sidelined with injuries. The slump that followed saw us gradually lose ground and we finished in 6th place.
In the play off semis we were up against Rochdale, two very mediocre performances meant two defeats and ten extra holiday days for my players. Despite all that, we are still managing to improve every season, although i doubt this year's over-achieving will continue next year.
Oh, and i just loved the fact that the season's top two worst signings for the League2 were two players i sold for a lot of money to Notts Co and Port Vale respectively
CCL2: 6th with 72 points
Cups: Not worth discussing
5 players bought (125k total cost), 14 players sold/released (850k total revenue)
