The question you should be asking is do you aspire to be LLM or did you just accept a challenge?

Nick (I hope that's your name ), undertaking that challenge does not make you a LLaMa. It could be played by LLM rules, but there is nothing about the challenge itslef that is intrinsically LLM.

Any challenge surely doesn't comply with being a LLM manager?

If a challenge is score 100 goals you can achieve it but playing a ridiculous formation that will no doubt see you concede more, loss more and be a failure as a manager.

Surely LLM is being the best manager you can do whilst alway adhering to realism.

Any challenge to speak of automatically becomes unrealistic unless the challange is simply to take your lower league side to the best position you can.

I've been playing CM and FM since 1993, and I've always played LLM in all forms of the game.
I saw Dafuges challenge, and thought that was a good idea for my next LLM game.

I've started off with different teams at Conference South/North level before but never holidayed the first season.
I thought it would add the realism of trying create a squad from scratch.

Surely all LLM players try and take your lower league side to the best position you can? If not what are you actually trying to do?

If you say you're playing it as LLM I'm sure you are. Your original statement equated Dufuge's Challenge with LLM, which it is not.

I don't see what's realistic about taking over a team with no players though.

I can think of other ones. Some teams strive to be financially healthy. Club success is important too, but not at all cost. If someone wants to do that type of challenge, why not?

Others want to see how they can do with homegrown talents and for example start out with a Basque-only team.

As long as it's realistic (unlike the 100-goal-thing you mentioned), I'd say, go for it, if you think you'll enjoy it.

LLM is a way of playing, not a way of hampering and hindering you.

I guess you don't support a non league team in real life, because if you do you'll know that it happens alot at levels below the Conference North/South, where as soon as a manager leaves, he takes half the players with him.

My non league teams manager was sacked at the end of last season and with no contracts, all players left.
The new manager started from scratch and signed up an entire squad before the start of the season.

Don't have a clue how this is relevant to what has been said.

So if I start a game with a team in the lowest level of English football on the game with the aim of making them as successful as I possibly can using LLM rules about Scouts and Job Centres, this doesn't make it LLM because?

1) I start in 2008 not 2007
2) I mentioned the word challenge
3) It was not my original idea

Thanks for the support cosmo-poof.

I want a game that will challenge me, I'm sick to death of seeing people bragging that they took Kettering out of the Conference North, that isn't a challenge, it's like taking over R&D in CM3.
