Is it possible to go from semi-pro to amateur? ****ed that the board want my head on a stick when they **** up. I can't do **** with finances you plurks!!
Yes indeed...amateur teams are fab. I'm currently in the middle of my first ever amateur game (just finished my first season) and it's the most enjoyble game I have played in ages so far.
I had a wage budget of £1,000, which although small I thought was workable.
Until I noticed that I was on a contract of £450 a week and my assistant £350 a week.
So £200 budget for my entire squad (of which none were amateur!!!)
I think this is a bug which I have reported.
Still makes you want to tear your hair out though!!!
Although one thing I've noticed is that if the scout and assistant think he's a quality player etc... the board allow me to offer a decent wage.
Anything underneath this type of player and they restrict it.
Now that's alright if you just want bleed the club dry. But it's a bit too unrealistic for me, as I don't think the board would continually let you add hundreds of pounds extra over weeks and weeks.
