Okay, so I was looking at buying a new PC and although I'm alright with most kinds of software I am pretty much clueless at the hardware side. So, simple question, if I was to purchase a 2.4ghz Quad Core does that mean it is a 2.4ghz PC or a 10ghz PC?

And does this mean that unless I'm using software specifically designed for quad technology, I will essentially be using a 2.4ghz PC? | Wasn't quite finished.

It will not let me format my drive.
"Windows cannot format this drive. Quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive. and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of drive. then try formatting."
