hello computer thread!
i've been kind of tasked with finding the old parents a nice new computer. a few years ago I'd know what's good and what's not, what the difference is between processors and stuff, but now I just don't, so do you reckon you could recommend a lovely computer? or at least the kind of stuff I should be looking for (ie what processor etc)
basically they use it mainly for browsing the internet, and making documents (emails, letters, that kind of stuff). they also do a fair bit of digital camera stuff, not editting, but organising and storing mostly. dad is also keen to venture into video editting. their main gripe with the current computer is how slow and sluggish it is, so ideally the new one would be quick as a flash.
any tips?
