| Look on ebay for a 7800gtx i loved that card, you could get it under £100 if you have a good look around, that's if you don't mind not having direct x10 for a while, but direct x10.1 will be out soon enough so you could hang on for that.

The x1950XT is also an awesome card and just slightly more powerful. I bought mine for £120 a couple of months ago so they can probs be had for less now.
Either is pretty much top-of-the-range for a DX9 card and will eat most games.

Question: is there any website allowing you to upload 4 Gb files in one time? FileFront limits it to 1 Gb while I can't be annoyed to upload my photos more than 1 time. I prefer it to be 1 RAR folder. | I doubt if you'll find a free one that does. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I've just tried to use humyo. Don't know if it will be good.
A question: I will buy Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 and Microsoft Office 2007 Language Packs as well. Before I buy them, what I want to ask is what a localized version is. There's Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 Localized Version, but I don't know what that means. Is that a kind of translated versions? Is that a version when you see that there's Bestand instead of "File"?

Is it possible to transfer data from a desktop to a laptop by directly connecting the desktop's HD to the laptop?
Not sure if i've dreamt this up but I thought it was possible to open up the unit and attach thebelt/cable thing to a port on the laptop. Have I got this terribly wrong?
Asking now as my laptop just arrived today and i'm not sure how to get some data across before I head off to uni tomorrow.

hmm not really, you could network them via a cross over network cable which would cost about £3 from a decent computer store

That's what I feared. I think i'll be able to cope if I burn the data onto a disc and just transfer it like that. No time to go out and buy a new cable.
Cheers.

erm yes you can but it seems an extreme way of transferring data. You can get a hard drive caddy to plug it into or at work we have a power block and a usb adaptor but i havent seen them for sale anywhere
