I was reading the end of page 4 for some weird reason, hopefully my advice above (which is related to the laptop g_j needed help with) is still useful.

| dont think there is a way to do it without voiding the warranty. Im sure they're not interested in your porn anyway |

| Too late. I ordered a notebook last Thursday. It's Toshiba Satellite L30-10T that for a reason I don't know doesn't appear outside the Netherlands in its official website. It costs me €584, excluding administration cost, etc. This is the link in Dutch.

Oh yes, david. After receiving my college books, it seems that I have to use many CD from those books, including some algebra programmes (for goodness sake ). That's why I'm afraid I'll have no sufficient space in 4 years. No worry anyway. I'll receive college loan. And spending some money for hard working can be considered good. |

There's a way you can do it with Linux and a few other bits and bobs but it's really complicated to do, I tried it once and only managed to recover what was on it, I couldn't format, I know when my Seagate blew I just emailed them the problem and they let me ram a screw through the middle off it.

So, I've downloaded Avira AntiVir for my anti-virus and AVG Anti-Spyware for my anti-spyware. Are they good enough? Is AVG Anti-Spyware also anti-malware and anti-adware? Do I have to download some anti-Trojan?

Use the free edition of superantispyware an amazing program even the standalone scanner, can't fault it.

| What is this used for? Spyware, malware, adware, etc.?
Also, which website is appropriate for uploading files, even big files?

Use filefront for large files you can make a free account to, superantispyware is just for spyware key loggers and Trojans, but it's one of the best programs I’ve seen about in a long time.

| Thanks much. I'll use FileFront and consider SUPERAntiSpyware for my new notebook.
