Any thoughts as to whether it's going to represent good value for money? (it'll probably only get light/medium usage).
| Can't you a get a similar Sony one from "PC World?" It is around £100 or so more I think. Try Dell, and ring up and negotiate.

right. I got a laptop on saturday (for my birthday) and it seems I've ****ed it up already. It's a HP dv6000 with vista and for some reason every time I boot it up it comes up with a thing saying:
'Please insert your CDROM with the Virtual Truck program. Looking for file:
E instalss\TeraUSB\VTruck2.exe'
any help?

yep I've sorted that one out.
Now I've got the problem of Norton. It keeps telling me that I need to download a new update every time I switch the notebook on even though I downloaded them the last time. Also 2 of the updates I can't download because it says I don't have the right to download them because I'm not logged in as admin even though I am.
help?

Quick question:
Does anyone have a link to that site that analyses whether your computer has the requisite specs to run certain games?

When I attempt burning a CD on my new Vista laptop it will only burn one track about the length of the CD and it's completely silent. Anyone know how to rectify this?
It's not the CDs or Me because I can do it perfectly fine on my desktop PC, so I'm blaming the computer until someone tells me otherwise.

Sorted my little dilemma, turns out it was the first item in Media Player's 'Help' section that solved it. I was burning them as data CDs instead of Audio CDs. What a moron.
