Only things not installed properly in Device Manager are 'Modem Audio Device' and 'Unknown device.' The unknown device is under the 'Sound, video and game controllers' section.

not sure airwofl, logic would say yes, but then when has logic had anything to do with it .

try it and see? worst thing that happens is it sotps working, you remove all the updates then install fresh jre 6 which means you get latest without entries in add/remove?

Probably quite easy this one but i need to transfer my files from my old laptop to a new one. Is there a simple cable i can use to make this easier than just putting stuff on a flash drive? The reason i ask is my old laptop's screen is rather fecked (punching it obviously didnt help), and only about a 1/4 of the screen functions properly.

Also, i presume my iTunes library will not be easily transferred. If this is the case, whats the best way to do this?

If you have 2 laptops at the moment, do they both connect to the internet? Couldn't you make the "My Documents" folder on the old laptop a shared folder, so you can access it from your new one? Right click on the relevant folder and make it a shared folder. You will have to create a home network, click on My Network Places (from start menu) on both machines and set up a home network. Should work.
